Newry wheelers are promoting the 29th edition of the Newry 3 day on Friday 1st July to Sunday 3rd July. The race is open to A1 Vets, A2, A3 and Junior riders only. Due to restrictions on the race the Newry 3 day has a cap on numbers so it is essential to get your Team entry in on time for it to be considered by the promoting club. Newry will only accept entries from teams. A team can have a maximum of four riders and individual entries will not be accepted. Entries close on Saturday 11th June so leave time tofet the entry posted to Newry Wheelers. You can download an entry form at the end of this article.
The race will consist of three road stages and there will be no time trial this year. The stages will be based in Warrenpoint, Hilltown and Newry and various jerseys will be up for grabs including the Spin 11 Yellow Jersey, the Chain Reaction Points Jersey, PKF-FPM King of the Hills Jersey and the Junior Blue Jersey sponsored by Armatile.
This race is run off on a very professional manner and it is many a rider’s goal to win this prestigious event. Newry Wheelers always promote high quality, well organised events and there is sure to be excellent refreshments after the final stage.
